Staff Spotlight – Dr. Gina Russell

Tell us a little about yourself! What inspired you to work with children?

I always wanted to work with children and after observing several professions that involve pediatrics, I fell in love with audiology.

What brought you to Magnolia Speech School, and what excites you most about being here?

A family friend recommended that I reach out to Magnolia Speech School after I graduated and 25 years later, I am still loving it here. Seeing the children each day and watching them progress with their listening skills is what I enjoy the most.

What is your favorite part of working with our students?

I have always loved working with children and am thankful that I get to be a part of each hearing-impaired child’s educational journey.

What is your go-to coffee (or favorite morning) order?

Turtle Coffee

What is one fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know?

My name is pronounced Jenna.

Outside of the classroom, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy spending time with my husband and two teenage sons, going to baseball and football games, reading, and exercising.

What is one goal you have for this school year?

To enjoy the chaos that only children can provide 🙂
