Ways to Support Magnolia Speech School
Magnolia Speech School is one of the premier schools in the Southeast for children with communication disorders. Because only one-quarter of our funding comes from tuition, we rely on the support of corporations, foundations, individuals, social organizations, and the community at large. Their generous donations help ensure that Magnolia Speech School remains a place Where Hope Speaks for our students.
Our cost per child is just over $30,000 annually, and we supplement approximately 75% of each child’s tuition.

How We Use Donations
Magnolia Speech School uses donations to expand our services, provide children with quality classroom instruction, and support tuition for students.
Scholarships
In addition to a sliding scale tuition, MSS annually raises more than $1 million in scholarships (scholarship money) to help all children afford our program. Our cost per child is just over $30,000 annually, and we supplement approximately 75% of each child’s tuition.
Magnolia Speech School has always served a diverse population – racially, culturally, and economically.
Supporting Teachers
The staff of Magnolia Speech School is highly educated, extremely experienced, and passionate about their work. Though our specialized, skilled staff feel “called“ to this work, it is only reasonable to offer them, at the very least, salaries in the range of those in the public schools in Mississippi.
Clinic Needs
The clinic requires state-of-the-art technology, furnishings, therapy equipment, audiological equipment and computers to conduct the therapy sessions.
Capital and Capacity Improvements
These are one-time costs that help us to maintain a safe and comfortable learning environment. Projects listed in this category include basic expansion efforts to meet known demand, as well as regular building/grounds maintenance needs. Examples of needs include new carpet or basic storage space.
Endowment Fund
We are grateful to have a community endowment fund. It was established to provide security and support the mission of Magnolia Speech School.
