Magnolia Speech School Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Magnolia Speech School (MSS) hosted its official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 14 after its school-wide Christmas program. The event was held in celebration of the opening of its new state-of-the-art Madison campus.

“Magnolia Speech School has changed the lives of students and their families for over 65 years, and we are excited to embark on this next chapter at our new campus,” Magnolia Speech School Executive Director Valerie Linn said. Through generous donations and the Children’s Promise Act, Magnolia Speech School has raised over $12M this past year for the construction and furnishing of its new campus.

People in attendance included Madison County Business League & Foundation Executive Director Jan Collins and Mississippi State Representative Jill Ford. Other notable guests who were invited were Mississippi State Representative Jason White, Mississippi Senator Walter Michel, Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler, Director of Madison The City Economic Development Amy Cummins, Anne

Brawley, Shellie and Keith Matthews, Dr. Stephanie Henderson, as well as Madison Alderman and Lobbyists.

“Building this school would not have been possible without the help from our community, and we are immensely grateful to everyone who has donated and supported our Capital Campaign,” Capital Campaign Manager Joshua Friedel said.
